Instructor Biography
William Benson
William Benson began developing film in a high school darkroom 36 years ago in Northern Ireland. William studied digital photography to a degree level at Harrington College of Design in Chicago.
His professional teaching experience includes designing and delivering high-end corporate seminars to top executives from companies such as Coca-Cola, Bell South, Underwriters Laboratories, Siemens, CDW, Abbott Laboratories, Motorola, Baxter Health Care, Computer Associates, Neumann Homes and Doubletree Hotels from New York to LA. He also trained other trainers to deliver these seminars. He was responsible for the successful design and implementation of a nationwide training program throughout England, Scotland and Wales in the Utilities sector.
He has photographed in every country in Western Europe. As an artist, William's work has been on show in London and southeast England and is included in collections throughout Europe.
William designed and implemented much of the digital program at CPC and trained many of the current instructors. He currently teaches the Digital Boot Camp, Photo I and Lighting I classes. He also runs a professional photography studio on Lincoln Avenue.
